Strong women know: discomfort builds, struggle drains (+ join free)

Hi Fabulous Friends!

We often mistake resignation for acceptance.
Resignation sounds like, “This is just how midlife is — tired, bloated, busy.”
Acceptance says, “This is where I am — and I can choose differently.”

That shift—from giving up to leaning in—is the same one that turns reactivity into proactivity.

In the past, when I was reactive, health felt like a game of whack-a-mole: skipping meals to be thinner, over-caffeinating and convincing myself that four cups was normal, pushing harder when my body was begging for rest — which usually ended with wine and falling asleep on the couch multiple times a week.

When I learned to be more proactive, it was boring, it was subtle — and it worked . . .

*Finding that ever-changing sweet spot between resting and strengthening around chronic back pain.

*Choosing foods that restored my cellular health instead of grabbing a Starbucks bagel out of starvation.

*Reassuring my inner child that sleep is a reward — maybe even more so than Netflix.

*I also realized I was talking down to myself daily — and that awareness alone changed everything.

Less guilt now, just recognition of the ceiling I had built for myself (Thank you Dr. Lim!) and blamed on everything else.

Most of us were taught to hustle, then to cope — but we exit the hamster wheel when we stop trying to fix our health and start building a relationship with it.

It’s a lifestyle we’re rebuilding — one rep, one meal, one ribcage-expanding breath at a time.

And our kids?
They get to copy us more than we try to teach them with our words.

Want to be proactive — not perfect?
There’s still time to join our Strong Women Daily Movement Challenge inside the community.

It’s for the woman who’s tired of starting over, waiting for the “perfect time,” or thinking progress only counts when it’s hard.
This 7-day challenge helps you rebuild consistency and confidence — just 10 minutes a day of movement you choose.

Because why do “75 Hard” when life is already 100% Hard?
Lower expectations. Stay longer. And prove to yourself that consistency truly moves the needle — every time!

Cheers to thriving together,

Alyssa

Hi Fabulous Friends! Toned and defined is the look most women are after. I chased it too and kept hitting a wall.
