Hi Reader! They’re dialed in to their psychology. The (often unconscious) beliefs driving their behavior. Most women who feel a gap between where they are and where they want to be, fall into two camps: Procrastination I was both. Why? Because of how we’re beautifully created! We're not biologically wired to act today for a better—but uncertain—future. So we delay… until the pain of staying the same outweighs the pain of change. And we also believe we’re the exception ... While we are unique—it's how humans thrive in a diverse group. What we are not, is the exception to proven biological mechanisms (muscle, metabolism, hormones, or bone health) in the body that can build and can also break. Take notice of the unconscious dialogue running in the background. When we truly pay attention and tune it, it's an all out negotiation: “I’ll work out when this project is done.” “My family has osteoporosis—I’ll probably deal with it too.” “My situation is different from women with more time or money.” “I’ll wait until this injury fully goes away.” “It’s not that bad… I’ll deal with it.” You get it. Try this today: Notice when the thought comes up: “I should take action to get stronger—and finally recover the way my body needs.” Then notice the very next thought ... Is it: “Later” “It’s not that bad” “I don’t have time” “I’m too tired” Don’t judge it. Just notice it. Tomorrow—shorten the gap between the thought and the action. Don’t give yourself time to negotiate. Make the action ridiculously small so it feels doable forever. Rinse and repeat daily. Within a week, you’ll notice: less mental noise eating up your bandwidth more showing up for you a little less bloat, a little more energy Freedom happens when you remove constant self-negotiation. And this is the gap most programs miss: knowing → doing This is what we bridge in our community. A simple system you learn once, I teach you the step by step system in the correct order, and your body pays you back in dividends for life. No more start → stop → regain cycles draining your time, energy, and money. No starving. No living in the gym. Hi Fabulous Reader! 2 underrated health upgrades women our age often miss: Short bursts of maximal effort (“sprint”) intervals Fiber from real food Why sprint intervals? Power is one of the first physical qualities we lose with age. Power helps us stay athletic, and better protected from falls and injury as we age. I’m not talking about hour-long HIIT classes. I mean ultra short 20 - 30 second bursts of max effort: bike sprints, rower sprints, battleropes, medball slams, etc. Click here for...
Hi Reader!A quick story about me. Let me know if you can relate. I grew up reading Seventeen, Bop, and Teen Vogue. Somewhere along the way, I became convinced of a narrative: that in order to feel attractive and accepted, my body needed to look a certain way. So in college, while teaching step aerobics, I’d literally calculate calories burned after every class. Because my brain genuinely believed I could "earn" food with exercise. Then I found weight lifting. In the late 90s and early 2000s,...
